Since our founding in 2001, Trend Setters School has remained committed to preparing talented students to enter the dynamic world of cosmetology and beauty arts. In just twelve months, our NACCAS-accredited cosmetology program will give you the skills you need to obtain cosmetology licensure and start pursuing the career of your dreams!

Whether in the classroom or on the clinic floor, our experienced, licensed instructors train students in a wide range of current styles and techniques. Our upbeat and comprehensive classes employ textbooks, interactive media, hands-on activities, and guest lectures from industry professionals to keep students engaged with challenging theory concepts. On the clinic floor, students receive critical real-world experience by performing services on actual clients, where we emphasize the professional communication skills needed to help our guests to look and feel their best.

In addition to learning the fundamentals of cosmetology, students also receive extensive training to help them pass the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiner’s license exam. Our results are proven to work: Since 2007, Trend Setters graduates who sit for the exam have an almost 100% passing rate!

Students also benefit from the school’s job placement resources, built on our network of fifteen years of providing qualified graduates for Southeast Missouri’s cosmetology industry. We not only allow students to find work before graduation – we encourage it!

The cosmetology program is 1500 clock hours, or 50 weeks to complete at 30 hours per week.

Hours of training are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

After the first eight weeks of training, students will be in class every day from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, then working on the clinic floor from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Students are scheduled for one 30-minute lunch break every day.
